I got a letter this week from the U.S. District Court in Salt Lake City. Turns out that I’ve been selected to serve as a juror.
I don’t know anything about the case, whether I’ll be empaneled, whether the judge will be impressed by my history as a lawyer or if he’ll also be concerned about the criminal activities of my alter ego in Pennsylvania. But whatever it is, I’m happy to do my civic duty. If I could get a book deal out of it, even better. Stay tuned…

Cool. I loved being on a jury in Alaska. It was a drunk driving charge, but interesting, none the less.

If you are selected you will love it. Always fun. However, if you don’t want to be selected you can always revert to your DQ-drive-thru persona… That should work for you as I think they have some literacy threshold that you will never reach. 🙂

Just called into the court as per the instructions and they don’t need me tomorrow. I’m feeling a little sad about it because I was looking forward to it in a strange way. I’m still in the jury pool for the next few months, so I’ll probably get another “Notice to Appear” sometime soon.
