It is hard living so far away from family, particularly family in Alaska because the travel to Utah is long and not one easily driven. This is even harder when that person is a grandma (or Oma Ria as we call her). She still hasn’t had the chance to see little Drew so she has requested I make a post with some pictures of him. Luckily we will be able to see her in May and everyone is super excited!
Drew is still an “angel baby”. He sleeps through the night (usually from 10 pm to 9 am). He is smiley, cuddly, and sweet. He doesn’t complain much unless he needs to eat, sleep or be changed. He is starting to fill-out now and his clothes are finally fitting him. He is a finger sucker, not a thumb sucker, which I think contributes to him being such a good baby. He has a rather unique way of sucking his fingers. It is quite funny (see pics below). We sure love this little guy and are so grateful that he is part of our family!

HOLY SMOKES!!! If that little guy isn’t the spitting image of his G’pa Mike I’ll eat my hat. Holy smokes… I would love to see some baby pics of Mike–what a likeness. I was going to say what a little cutie Drew is but I dare say nothing now lest G’pa Mike get the wrong idea. 🙂

Thanks Gary! I think he’s quite the looker too. I know one thing for certain, he’s got that calm personality that absolutely COPIES mine. And another thing, this could go down as the best baby ever. Anyone else out there with kids want to match up with Drew? The word “pleasant” is written all over his cute little face. I love how he sucks his fingers! I’m looking forward to the days when he’s old enough to hold and introduce to cool things like the silverware drawer and the flowers in the yard. What a guy.

What’s that you say, G’pa Mike, about “calm personality” and “copies mine” both used in the same sentence?! I’m certain I’ve seen you on the sidelines of a girls basketball game… Excuse me? 🙂
I’m sure someone can come to my defense and find something Baby Drew and I have in common other than soiling ourselves on a daily basis. (As you can see, I find self-deprecation more tolerable than deprecation by others.)
