Annie Clifford

The world lost a beautiful soul this week. My sweet sister-in-law passed away on Monday. Everyone that knew Annie, loved Annie. I first met her when Seth and I were dating. I still remember her putting her arm around me, not knowing me, welcoming me in her home and treating me like family. From there she became one of my dearest friends. She taught me how to be a mom…recommending the best books and the very best pediatrician (Dr. Keith Clayton). She practically clothed my two youngest kids by insisting we take Connor and Camryn’s clothes as they grew out of them.

A few years later she willing jumped on board with my crazy idea to run our first marathon together – driving to my house multiple times a week to be sure we got our runs completed. Years passed and life got busy and we didn’t see each other as often, but she was only a text away. She was always advising me, cheering my kids on and just being a perfect friend.

She outfitted my kids in ski clothes and insisted we start on another great adventure – which we have loved. Then a couple years ago she somehow convinced me it was a good idea to get a dog (that was a true miracle) and now our family can’t imagine our life without our pup. I know a lot of great people but not many compare to sweet Annie. She was the most optimistic, happy, fun-loving person I have ever met.

Cancer is a beast and she fought hard. Although at this time we can’t celebrate her life due to social distancing, I think everyone who knew her is thinking of her, missing her, and loving her. So I am here celebrating you, Annie. Love you girl! Hugs and prayers to Casey and the kids during this difficult time.
