Man, where does the time go? My baby turned 5 today. Can you believe it?! I can’t. Ellie had preschool on her birthday so I got to go in and help in class. We sang to her and displayed her life through pictures on the wall.
After preschool, she had an appointment to go see Dr. Wise, her pediatrician, for her five year well-check. She passed with flying colors and received more shots than I can count, but now she is ready for kindergarten. She was so brave that we took a special trip to the store afterward for a few of her favorite treats.
That evening we went to her restaurant of choice, Pizza Pie Cafe, and came home for cake and presents.
On Tuesday we grabbed her three closest friends and headed to Kangaroo Zoo for an afternoon of jumping and fun. They had a great time!
Yes, Ellie is my baby. She makes me smile and melt nearly every day. If you took a vote around our house, everyone would say she is their favorite. There was a time that we thought we wouldn’t have a sixth child. I can’t even imagine it. She is funny, hard-working, helpful, and a great side-kick to keep me company. And if you can’t tell from the pictures, she loves to change her outfit, many, many times each day. She actually has a great fashion sense and is always giving me advice on what to wear. I sure do love her…like love her a lot. XOXO
