Happy 3rd Birthday Ellie Belle!

My baby turned three today. Can you believe it?! I can’t. She is growing into quite a character. This girl oozes personality. Most days I can’t keep up with her. She can usually be found toting her purse and baby doll while walking over to play with her friends. When she is being particularly sneaky, you can find her cruising the neighborhood in her battery-operated jeep (now look back about 50 yards and you’ll likely see me chasing her in my PJ’s early in the morning…yep, that has happened more than once).

Ellie Belle is the perfect book-end to our family. She brings everyone such happiness. We have plenty of chaos in our crazy family, but it seems whenever she walks into the room everyone stops to give her the attention.

She loves baby dolls. I mean she REALLY loves baby dolls. It is uncommon to see her without a baby doll. She tells me regularly that I need to have another baby. For her birthday I got her and American Girl bitty baby in hopes it will suffice. Let’s hope so. Ellie is very independent. She doesn’t want help doing anything. I have given up organizing her closet since I know it will only be minutes before she is rummaging through it for a new outfit. Man, I love that girl!

To celebrate Ellie insisted on a princess party. I decided to put Megan and Katelyn in charge. They didn’t fail me. They delivered the invitations, filled the party bags, planned the games, and entertained the kids. It went perfectly! Ellie is fortunate to have such great sisters.
