In February, we had an awesome family vacation visiting Disneyland. So in 2012, we’re also planning a vacation in February, but this one is going to be a little different — we’re leaving the kids behind, and Manina and I are going on a cruise!
The location should be great — we’re leaving from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and doing the Eastern Caribbean cruise, with stops at St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and Grand Turk. It will also be a great time to escape the middle of a cold Utah winter.
Manina and I have never been on a cruise, and we’ve heard mixed reviews. So, we’re hoping for the best. What has been your experience with cruises? And, do you want to come with us?

We went on a week cruise Feb of 2011 to the Eastern Caribbean; St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Bahamas. We cruised with Norwegian on their new ship the Epic…. Honestly, I hated it. Too crowded, but we are thinking that is because it was the new ship. Never an empty lounge chair out on deck…. but again, we had 4000 people on board and only 2000 chairs. Don’t get me wrong, we love, love, love the Caribbean, our favorite stop was St. Thomas, but I don’t love feeling so crowded. When we were on board, we all agreed never a cruise again, but now Richie and Alina are both up for a Disney Cruise, so you never know. I am sure you guys will have fun, no matter, it’s a vacation and you will be warm!! Enjoy!!
