We have been throwing the idea around for over a year now that it would be fun to do a little tea party with all the granddaughters but nothing has ever come of it. A few weeks ago we decided it was time to make it happen so Rach, Mom and I put a plan together and this past Saturday we enjoyed a lovely little tea party.
Everyone arrived in their finest “tea party” attire. We began by applying make-up to each other’s faces. Even little Ellie loved staring at her face as G’ma Jan put red lipstick on her. All the girl’s looked beautiful as one could imagine!
Next G’ma read Fancy Nancy to the girls as we waited for a few other relatives to arrive.

Upon their arrival we had a sweet little brunch. G’ma Jan had purchased a variety of tea cups and saucers for the girls to take home. Those were filled with a slushie punch. We had a variety of sandwiches: carrot ginger, cucumber/cream cheese, and peanut butter and jelly. We also had fruit and vegetables with coordinating dips. Abby made a yummy blueberry cobbler. Everything was delicious!
We then worked on making tiaras with glitter and gems. Once the girls finished their tiaras we then moved on to decorating pillows. G’ma had scored some monogrammed pillows and most of the girls were able to find a pillow with their initial. They worked on stuffing them and some girls chose to use fabric pens to decorate them.

The party turned out great! My girls are already talking about the next one!

Too Cute! What a fun thing for all the little girls. 🙂
