One of the greatest things about being in a new home is getting ready to decorate for the holidays. I absolutely love Halloween and Christmas and have been looking forward to decorating since back in August. One of the not-so great things about buying a new home is that I no longer have the extra cash to spend on new, fun decorations. So my sweet friend Jenni (whom I totally adore btw), that I met when I moved in back in February, motivated me to do some crafts with her. She is super talented and has so many great ideas…so many that we can’t stop doing them!
We have been having a blast and use all of our spare time to come up with cute holiday ideas. So far I have done four, practically free, crafts to put around my house. We both made a “BOO” rock, which involved finding a large rock and painting it with black chalk paint, a spooky tree (an idea we stole from Pottery Barn and adapted to our liking), a ghost that I found on “Tater Tot and Jello’s” website, and some cute candy jars with candy corns. I like some of the things more than others and I still have a few random ideas floating around my head but I might wait till next year.
I am actually thinking now more about what I can do for Christmas!! I’m excited! Speaking of Halloween, I got my toes painted for the season. They turned out so cute. She can paint anything you want and she is super cheap. You really ought to go have her do them. Go here to see some of her Halloween designs.

I stole some candy corns out of that CANDY thing.PS , don’t tell my mom.
