This Mother’s day has brought me a lot of wonderful surprises. Most holidays in our family are pretty low-key but not this time! My Mother’s day festivities started off with a Mother’s Day tea with Katelyn’s preschool class. They performed some fun songs and even recited a sweet little poem. They also served us vegetables and dip and cupcakes accompanied by a tea cup of apple juice. Katelyn was so excited when I arrived for the program. She escorted me in and sat me down and presented me with all kinds of special surprises she made.
Then on Saturday night Seth took me to a lovely dinner at Market Street Grill. This wasn’t necessarily for Mother’s Day and did require a little planning on my part but it was still nice to be able to sneak out for a quick date with some of our friends. I love good seafood and this is one of the few places around here that I feel like I can get it. Yum!
Nope, I am not done yet… With our new found love of fruit smoothies, we have found ourselves burning through several cheap blenders. So Seth surprised me with a super nice (and maybe a little too expensive) Blendtec blender. It is amazing and can chop through just about anything! I love, love, love it! He even made me my favorite mango smoothie for breakfast! Another yum!
My day was filled with many treats, hugs, kisses, homemade cards, pictures, and booklets. I am so lucky to be a mom of so many wonderful children and wife to an amazing husband. I couldn’t have asked for any greater blessings in my life!
Also a happy Mother’s day to all the wonderful mom’s out there…especially to my Mom and to my Mom-in-law! I love you!

WHAT! Maybe I think you’re a little crazy too : ) Okay now you have far surpassed me. Congratulations! I don’t know any better person to be a mom to 5, I mean 6, kids all so close together. I have always been amazed at what you can get done. Congrats.
