The things we love

Happy Valentine’s day! Some people hate it, some people like it. Seth and I don’t really care either way, but there is no question that my kids love any day that they can cut out hearts and get lots of candy – wahoo! My kids are young enough that the simple traditions are never left forgotten. Every year we cut out hearts and write the things we love on them and post them on the door for the month. Everyone that reads this blog is probably listed on our door (friends, brothers, sisters, grandparents, etc). Of course books, video games and barbies made the list too. So here’s our tribute to all of our amazing friends and family that we love so much!

As for “heart” day. We don’t have much planned. Seth had a scout campout in Heber last night so I spent the night putting together a scavenger hunt for the kids. Another silly tradition they absolutely love. Later today we’re going to the Draper Temple open house (what better place to feel love, right?) and then to an early dinner with the fam before the restaurants get too crowded. I then arranged to get High School Musical 3 for the kids so we could watch it tonight (It’s silly that movie doesn’t come out before Valentine’s Day, but thanks goodness for friends who work at the video store because my kids love it).

After typing this I realized I used the word ‘love‘ a lot. How fitting for Valentine’s day, eh? I think I will go through and bold them. And heck, I’ll throw in a few extras for good measure. Happy heart day to you. We love, love, love you!! πŸ™‚
