Poo Potty

Yep, that is what we are often hearing around our house, “poo potty mommy”. We have finally potty-trained our six and final child. I can’t say that I will miss potty training my kids, because honestly, I won’t. However, it is sure a great feeling to know I am doing it for the last time.

I normally have my kids potty-trained before they turn two, but with no kids coming up behind Ellie I felt less pressure to get it done. However, when Ellie started telling me before she went potty, I knew it was time. The first few days were tough. She was afraid of the toilet and would just cry and cry. She would even hold her pee for 10+ hours. However, after reading her a lot of books and singing her a lot of songs while she sat on the potty, she finally figured it out.

Now she is a pro! I don’t even have to remind her to go. Instead she comes running up to me and says “poo potty!” and we know it is time to head to the toilet. She is doing great and has had a dry pull-up (we wear those at night) for the past four nights. Way to go Ellie!

  1. Those two pictures are just too precious–the “Focus” and the “Finale.”
