Drew turned 1 today. It is hard to believe a whole year has passed since his birth. He is the most calm, easy-going baby. We are so grateful to have him in our family.
We didn’t do much to celebrate and didn’t have too many visitors (thanks to the mounds of snow we are getting) but we had fun anyway. Drew wasn’t in love with the idea of eating cake or getting messy but after a few bites he started to enjoy himself. That is until he was so covered in chocolate that he couldn’t see out his eyes and then he began to cry, making it even worse (see the stages below).

Hi Drewbie and Happy Birthday you little micro-crawler! Sorry that G’pa was so late getting to the website and enjoying your special day with the family. It looks so fun and I really miss not being there, but G’pa was so busy keeping his home in Alaska warm (at -35 degrees) and feeding Santa’s raindeer each day, that I just forgot to go online. Imagine that! It won’t happen again next year…
